Announcing the Code Boricua & SQLDevDBA Power BI Hackathon 2024 !

Greetings everyone from Code Boricua!


This hackathon is exclusively for members/users of the CodeBoricua Discord.

Participants will have until January 6th 2025 to submit their entries in Power BI form. 


Get ready to enter and show off your Data Analysis skills with Power BI!

Participation Requirements

Exclusively for members of Code Boricua

Only Code Boricua members/users will be able to participate. Your physical address must be inside Puerto Rico or the United States.

Hackathon Duration

Starts: 12/8/2024

Ends: 1/6/2025 23:59:59 (HST)

Entries sent affter this time will not be accepted.

Entry format

Power BI (PBIX)

Deliverables must be in PBIX Format (Power BI File)

You are allowed to use whichever format to acquire your data source (Python, API, CSV, Excel, etc.).  However, only a final analysis in Power BI is permitted.

Dataset Requirements

Data sources must be related to Puerto Rico.

There are various resources dedicated to providing data sources about Puerto Rico; some examples are below.

Evaluation/Judging process

Entries will be published on this website once received/reviewed.

The entries will be published on this page in interactive form.

Notice:

All entries will be shared with the rest of the Code Boricua community, and your submission will be interpreted as authorization to share.

Voting

We will vote as a community (Code Boricua) and choose the winners

Code Boricua memberrs will vote for the top three entries via a Poll on Discord.

Prizes/Awards

First / Second / Third place winners will receive one of the following Keyb

  • Keychron K3 Ultra Slim 75% Mechanical Keyboard
  • Coller Master CK721 Mechanical Keyboard
  • KOOURI 60% Mechanical Keyboard


The prizes will be sent via mail after the winners have been chosen and announced.
